Issues of Access, Advocacy and Policy in Youth Services

Exploration of issues in library service to children and young adults, including access, with respect to collection leveling and classification, labeling, and intellectual freedom; advocacy, with respect to clarification and articulation, in writing and speech, of purpose and relevance; and policy, with respect to young people’s coming to, borrowing from and taking advantage of library materials, services and spaces.

This course may be applied to earn the Certificate in Youth Services.
