WEBINAR A Nature Classroom at the Library for Early Childhood Development

Thursday, April 10, 2014 -
10:00am to 11:00am

We are sorry! Registration for this webinar is now closed. Our available online "space" is full! We thank you for your interest, and hope you will be able to join us at a future event.

Erin Francoeur, Director of the Finney County Public Library in Garden City, Kansas, will talk about how the library's 10,000 square foot outdoor educational space supports public library initiatives including early learning, literacy development, school readiness, entertainment, and community spaces. Francoeur will describe the library’s space that includes areas for music, building blocks, climbing, reading and water play, and discuss the development of the project through partnerships, funding, training, and results.

This webinar is part of a series called "Cutting Edge Ideas for Public Libraries." Jump-start innovation at your library and convene your staff to participate as a group brainstorming each idea to adapt to your own library's needs. The four one-hour webinars focus on innovative public library programs that can be replicated at your library. See, hear, and ask questions of the innovators themselves in this provocative series. Don't miss these additional series webinars:

All series webinars are free to attend, but registration is required.

Webinars will take place from 10-11 a.m. CST in Blackboard Collaborate. System requirements may be found here. Approximately one week ahead of time, the link to participate will be emailed to registrants. Please be sure to test your system requirements ahead of time, and log in early on the day of the event to allow time to troubleshoot if necessary.
