  • Attend “Our Voices: Strengthen Your Collection with Diverse Narratives,” featuring SOIS PhD student Felicia Shakespeare as a panelist, 3:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday 6/24, McCormick Place W185a.
  • Interested in a PhD? Learn about our doctoral program and meet with program director and associate professor Karen Snow at the “Leaders Wanted: Doctoral Options Fair,” 11:30-1:00, Saturday 6/24 at the Palmer House Hilton, 17 E. Monroe St., Empire Room
  • Celebrate the best in African American children’s literature at the Coretta Scott King Book Awards Breakfast, 7:00-9:30 a.m., Sunday 6/25 at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Avenue, Grand Ballroom. SOIS assistant dean and Butler Center curator Diane Foote is the chair of the Breakfast’s Local Arrangements Committee, and associate professor Sujin Huggins will begin a term on the Coretta Scott King Book Award Jury.
