Advanced Seminar: Literacy and Learning

Provides a historical and conceptual foundation of literacy initiatives in libraries and related organizations with analysis and comparison of information literacy models and community literacy programs, and investigation of the influences on learning and literacy of socio-cultural factors, political systems, and public and private institutions. A core course of the PhD program.
